Bids are invited for several items and quantities of work for the Water System as follows: 1. 6" C-900 PVC waterline - 3263 +/- LF 2. 2" SDR-21 waterline - 421 +/- LF 3. Gate valve: 2", 6", 8" 4. Service transfers 5. Hwy bores A bid bond in the amount of 5 percent of the bid issued by an acceptable surety shall be submitted with each bid. A certified check or bank draft payable to City of Bremond or negotiable U.S. Government Bonds (as par value) may be submitted in lieu of the Bid Bond. A performance bond on the part of the contractor for 100 percent of the contract price for contracts in excess of $100,000. A "performance bond" is one executed in connection with a contract to secure fulfillment of all the contractor=s obligations under the contract. A payment bond on the part of the contractor for 100 percent of the contract price for contracts in excess of $25,000. A "payment bond" is one executed in connection with a contract to assure payment as required by law of all persons supplying labor and material in the execution of the work provided for in the contract. Bids may be held by City of Bremond for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the bidder's qualifications prior to the contract award. City of Bremond reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding. No oral interpretations will be made to any bidder. Each request for clarification shall be made in writing to the Grant Recipient or engineer no less than seven (7) days prior to the bid opening MBE (27.3%), WBE (6.9%)
