The reply will be in the form of an Addendum, a copy of which will be forwarded Work on the improvements shall commence upon approval of the contract by the Conservation Board and as stated in the Notice to Proceed. All work under the Contract must be substantially complete on or before April 15, 2025 and final completion on May 1, 2025. Liquidated damages as set forth in the Contract, in the amount of $200 per day. Maintenance and Warranty bond shall be held in effect to guarantee the maintenance of the improvement caused by failures in materials and construction for a period of 1-year from and after final acceptance of the work. The proposed improvements will require earthwork operations, utility distribution, footings and foundation, slab on grade, construction of new building to accommodate office space, storage, bay for equipment and vehicle repair, chemical storage, breakroom and restrooms. Each bidder shall accompany its bid with bid security, as defined in Iowa Code Section 26.8, as security that the successful bidder will enter into a contract for the work bid upon. The bidder's security shall be in an amount equal to 5 percent of the total amount of the bid. The bid shall contain no condition except as provided in the specifications.
