The County of Riverside Purchasing, on behalf of The Riverside County Sheriffs Office - Ben Clark Training Center (BCTC), solicits fitness equipment quotations as detailed in this RFQ. Riverside County, established in 1893 from portions of San Bernardino and San Diego counties, is the fourth largest in California, covering over 7,300 square miles. The law enforcement professionals of the Riverside County Sheriffs Office, with a staff of over 4,000 dedicated men and women, cover this expanse of Southern California and serve its communities' citizens with integrity, professionalism, leadership, and loyalty. The Riverside County Sheriff's Office was awarded a Wellness grant to enhance the overall health of its members. A portion of the grant is designated for improving our fitness facilities countywide. The Sheriff's organization needs fitness equipment to ensure the physical fitness of its personnel to promote a healthy lifestyle. Law enforcement officers face physically demanding tasks, including pursuit, apprehension, and maintaining public safety. Fitness equipment helps officers stay in peak physical condition, which is essential for their safety, community safety, and ability to perform their duties effectively. The fitness equipment listed in Appendix A will replace existing equipment, and the awarded vendor must deliver, uncrate, or unbox, install, calibrate, and dispose of cardboard. Delivery service is considered white glove" for this RFQ and detailed in Appendix B. White glove is a phrase used to describe excellence in care, service, or attention. White glove delivery service is a method of shipping or receiving products that need more attention than regular parcels due to their size, value, or fragility. White glove delivery experts are highly trained and equipped to install and assemble fitness equipment on-site and use specialized equipment if necessary. Appendix C includes the specifications for vendors to provide a five-year quarterly maintenance plan on all equipment. The total cost for this purchase should consist of equipment cost, sales tax, freight, delivery, installation, and maintenance fees. Proposals should include manufacturer warranty coverage details and post-warranty or maintenance options. The GOODS period of performance shall be a one-time purchase order to purchase the gym equipment identified in this RFQ. The SERVICE period of performance shall be for 5 year(s), renewable in 12-month increments based on the availability of fiscal funding by the Sheriffs Office with the completion date of 12/31/2028, with no obligation by the County of Riverside to purchase any specified amount of goods or services.
