Richland County invites vendors to submit an electronic bid for the Quail Creek Pump Station located at 2904 Partridge Dr. S, Hopkins, SC 29061. It is owned and operated by Richland County Utilities. The existing pump station was installed and began operation in 1979. The pump station was formerly a suction lift station but is currently configured as a submersible station that houses two constant-speed pumps that are controlled by a float system. An existing 6-inch force main currently carries flow to Starling Goodson Road. Gravity sewer is being extended from Rabbit Run Road, located to the south of the Pump Station, to allow the existing pumping station to be taken out of service.
