SCOPE OF WORK The work involves: o General cleanup of all flower beds, landscape island, planters, and sidewalks of weeds, fallen branches, litter, and overgrown vegetation. o Supply, refurbish, and spread landscape mulch of type and color selected by the City. Installation of various plant materials as needed and indicated in the City's Downtown Landscape Design to be provided by the City. o Trimming of overgrowth on plants, shrubs, and bushes. o Mowing and edging of grassed areas o Removal of any fallen leaves, limbs, and palm fronds in the Downtown District o Replenishment of any dead or dying plantings Spring/Summer Schedule (March, April, May, June, July, August, September): Weekly with bid Alternate No. 1 for b-weekly Fall/Winter Schedule (October, November, December, January, February): Bi-weekly with Bid Alternate No. 2 for monthly There may be occasions when more frequent work may be requested by the City for special events or weather issues. The City of Fernandina Beach, Florida is seeking a qualified and experienced Landscape Maintenance Contractor to perform GENERAL LANDSCAPING MAINTENANCE SERVICES IN THE DOWNTOWN DISTRICT in Fernandina Beach, Florida. Any submittal received after the above stated time and date will not be considered. It shall be the sole responsibility of the Bidder to have its Bid delivered to the City of Fernandina Beach, by U.S. Mail, hand delivery or any other method available to him/her; however, facsimile or electronic submittals will not be accepted. Delay in delivery shall be the sole responsibility of the Bidder. Submittals received after the deadline will not be considered.
