Site work and new construction of a multi-residential development in Iqaluit, Nunavut. Completed plans call for the construction of a multi-residential development; and for site work for a multi-residential development.
The Nunavut Housing Corporation (NHC) is seeking Proposals for the design, supply, ship, and construction (Design/Build) of (1) multiplex residential building (minimum of 18 units) in Iqaluit as further outlined in this RFP. Proponents are advised that Designated Government of Nunavut Sealift carriers are to be utilized for all shipping aspects of these projects. NHC recognizes that during the Contract Phase of this project the rates and designated carriers may change due to the Government of Nunavut contract renewal. For general information, the Owner advises that the target budget for the Work is approximately $6,725 per square metre ($625 per square foot) of building gross floor area inclusive of design fees and site works but excluding utility connection fees. This budget is a guide and does not consider regional, community, or site-specific cost factors. Proponents should ensure that they have received this document directly from the Nunavut Tenders web site (http://www.nunavuttenders.ca/). The estimated contract period will be 24 month(s).
