Operation Safewalks - School Sidewalks - Refugee (Noe Bixby to Blue Moon) Question Deadline Jun 27, 2024 All questions concerning this project are to be sent to capitalprojects@columbus.gov. The last day to submit questions will be specified in the IFB; phone calls will not be accepted. PROJECT SPECIFIC NOTES: SEQUENCE OF WORK OPERATIONS: A sequence of work operations for this project shall be completed as follows: 1. Distribute Resident Notification Letters two (2) weeks (three (3) weeks in downtown business district) in advance of performing any work on a street. Failure to provide the required advanced notice will result in a one-hundred (100) dollars per day penalty as detailed in Notification requirements. 2. All curb replacement, ADA wheelchair ramps, and sidewalk replacement shall be completed. a. Nine (9) days permitted for ramp closure, two hundred (200) dollars per day in liquidated damages thereafter. Reinstallation of a removed street sign pole is required within the nine(9) day ramp closure window and subject to the two-hundred (200) dollars per day penalty if not completed 3. No intersection or part of an intersection should have detection interrupted for more than 45 days. Unless otherwise detailed in the construction documents. o See the Traffic Control and Signal Work section of the General Notes 4. All pavement repairs may be completed with concurrence of the Engineer. The Engineer may direct full depth repairs to take place after the milling operation so that pavement condition can be assessed after the surface is removed. Contractor will mark repair areas based on plan details and field direction. 5. Any additional pavement repairs required after the milling shall be completed or as directed by the Engineer.6. Installation of asphalt transitions. Provide transitions 7. Application of Tack Coat or Stress Absorbing Membrane Interlayer. 8. The placement of the asphalt leveling course (if required).
