Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Toronto, Ontario. Completed plans call for the construction of a 10,687-square-foot, one-story above grade transportation facility; for site work for a transportation facility; and bridge / tunnel.

The scope of work for the project includes improving Long Branch GO Station in south Etobicoke, including improving the accessibility of the station; building an underpass at Burloak Drive in Burlington and Oakville to carry traffic below and across the railway corridor; replacing Drury Lane pedestrian bridge in Burlington; and completing works to enable future electrification of the line. The upgraded Long Branch GO Station at 20 Brow Drive will include: A new west entrance building, west tunnel with elevators and stairs to the platforms. A new east pedestrian access tunnel with elevators and stairs to the platform, east entrance building with washrooms and waiting area. Modification to existing stair access from Edgeware Drive with new canopy cover and connection to new north platform canopy. Revisions to the parking lot, including pedestrian walkways, a passenger pick-up and drop-off area, bike lanes and bike shelters New secure bike storage room. Rehabilitated platforms with snow-melting system and heated shelters. Track work that will enable future electrification of trains. TIMELINE: Ellisdon was awarded a fixed-price contract of $443 million to design, build and finance the GO Expansion – Lakeshore West Infrastructure Improvements Project. Closure & demolition of the eastern part of the platform commenced late 2023/early 2024. East station building, tunnel & platform construction spring 2024. Trades by invitation only.
