Question Response Deadline December 1, 2023, 5:00pm Summary The Boone County Fiscal Court will receive bids from qualified vendors to perform the services associated with the Resurfacing (Milling and Paving) of County Roads and Streets in the Florence area. Work shall include all labor, equipment, materials and services necessary to complete the work described in this Invitation to Bid. Description/Scope of work: This work shall consist of improving the profile and cross section on the attached list of streets. The streets are constructed of either concrete, asphalt, or concrete overlaid with asphalt. The Contractor's scope of work shall include all labor, materials, equipment and incidentals to complete the paving and milling operation including but not limited to. A bid bond executed by the Bidder and acceptable sureties in equal amount to five (5) percent of the bid (including Add Alternates) shall be submitted (electronically) with each bid. The bidder to whom the contract is awarded will be required to furnish a surety bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amount. Bid security furnished in bond form shall be issued by a surety company or corporation licensed in the state of Kentucky to provide said surety. liquidated damages. Boone County reserves the right to reject any and all bids, to waive any informalities and to negotiate for the modifications of any bid or to accept that bid which is deemed the most desirable and advantageous from the standpoint of customer value and service and concept of operations, even though such bid may not, on its face, appear to be the lowest and best price.
