The GC shall retain a certified Asbestos Abatement contractor for the necessary asbestos abatement scope Maintaining accessible campus use of the elevator will be required Install Main Conduits and Main Piping Risers - All Floors Complete Mechanical and Chilled Water Taps Ground Floor Install Heat Recovery Chiller Ground Floor Complete Mechanical Rooms and Mechanical Room 120 First Floor Complete new Mechanical Room 201A and 218Acond Floor Complete all HVAC and Electrical - Third Floor Exterior Work Install Medium Voltage Switchgear and Transformer, Install Underground Conduits to Buildings Restroom renovation Complete HVAC Demo Steam/Condensate Piping. Electrical Distribution and Medium Voltage Shutdown and Re-feed Ground Floor Complete Ductwork, Electrical, and Mechanical Room 110A First Floor Complete Ductwork and Electrical Second Floor The contractor shall protect in place all built-in casework, sensitive equipment that cannot be removed from the building, and furniture. Should the contractor remove furniture from a room, the contractor is responsible for moving the furniture into the original location upon completion of the phase/project. The University will be responsible for removing personal belongings and IT/AV equipment before construction commencement. o Reference Exhibit P, Furniture and Equipment Protection Guidelines Walls where equipment is removed, the wall is to be patched to match the existing surface. The wall shall be painted corner to corner to match the color of the room. The Owner's decision shall be final. Bidders must enclose descriptive literature with their bids so that the equality can be verified. Failure to enclose sufficient literature may result in the rejection of the bid. Bids shall be accompanied by a bid guarantee of not less than five percent (5%) of the amount of the base bid executed by a Surety Company authorized to do business in the State of Kentucky and countersigned by a licensed Kentucky Resident Agent representing the Surety Company. The awarded Contractor shall furnish a performance and payment bond in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price as security for the faithful performance of this contract and for the payment of all persons performing labor, including payment of all unemployed contributions which become due and payable under the Kentucky Unemployment Insurance Law furnishings materials in connection with this contract.
