Asbestos abatement for a mixed-use development in Fort Walton Beach, Florida. Completed plans call for asbestos abatement for a elderly care / assisted living facility.
Description: BACKGROUND: Okaloosa County, through its Facility Maintenance Department, is seeking a contractor to perform abatement of the aforementioned location. The scope of work includes, but is not limited to, furnishing labor, materials, and equipment necessary for the completion of asbestos abatement work. The abatement is being performed prior to building renovation or demolition. The intent of this project is to remove ACM and Hazardous Materials from the following locations for one lump sum price. Question Deadline 02/28/2024 at 3:00 PM CT The term of the resulting contract shall begin when all parties have signed. The Notice to Proceed will be issued prior to work being done. All work shall be completed by July 1, 2024. A Bid Bond is required with the Respondents submittal for 5% of the Bid price, in the form of a cashiers check, certified check or bond. A copy of your bid bond must be submitted electronically with your bid. The original must be mailed to Okaloosa County Purchasing, 5479A Old Bethel Road, Crestview, Florida, 32536 within 48 hours of bid opening. A performance and payment bond will be required in the amount of 100 % of the estimated contract value. The performance bond and payment bond can be a total of 100% combined. The performance/payment bonds must be submitted with signed agreement.
