Probable Cost for Base Bid - $980,000 and Probable Cost for Bid Alternate - $120,000 No bids will be received after the specified hour and date, and bids which are not prepared and filed in accordance with the "Instructions to Bidders" may be rejected. Each Bid must be submitted in a sealed envelope. Each sealed envelope containing a Bid must be plainly marked on the outside as Bid for Lake Poinsett Sanitary Sewer Lift Station Rehablitation-2023. The envelope should also bear on the outside the name and address of the Bidder. If forwarded by mail or other delivery system, the sealed envelope containing the Bid must be sealed in another envelope, with the notation "Bid Enclosed" on the face thereof and addressed to the Lake Poinsett Sanitary District, 19553 US Highway 81, Suite 3, Arlington, SD 57212. o Removal of existing submersible pumps, rails, controls, piping and appurtenances. (5 Lift Stations); o Installation of new Lift Station pumps, rails, controls, electrical, piping and appurtenances (5 Lift Stations); o Lining Existing Wet well structures for 5 Lift Station and 2 Lift Station as bid alternates, work includes cleaning and preparation of concrete structures for new lining system; o Surface restoration and all other miscellaneous work required not herein mentioned but inferred from the construction Contract Documents. This procurement will be subject to regulations contained in Title 40 CFR 35. Bidders on this work will be required to comply with Title 40 CFR 33 and Executive Order 12138 (WBE). The MBE goal for this project is 1% of the total dollar value of the job while the WBE goal is 4% of the total dollar value of the job. Bidders on this work will be required to comply with the President's Executive Order Nos. 11246 (Equal Employment) as amended, 11518 (Small Business Concerns), and 11625 (MBE) as amended. The goal for female utilization which shall be included in all federal and federally assisted construction contracts and subcontracts in excess of $10,000 shall be 6.9%. The goal for minority utilization which shall be included in all federal and federally assisted construction contracts and subcontracts in excess of $10,000 shall be 1.3% The goals are applicable to the Contractor's aggregate on-site construction workforce whether or not part of that workforce is performing work on a federal and federally assisted contract or subcontract. Davis-Bacon and related acts provisions apply to this project. All provisions relative to those acts must be met. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids, and to waive any irregularities therein.
