Northern Health maintains a range of housing across the region for health care staff that are working in the region either on a temporary basis or are moving to the community and require temporary housing. The intent of providing housing is to ensure health care staff have a safe, comfortable, and modern accommodation experience after providing health care services to the community. Northern Health is seeking proposals from proponents for the provision of housing and housing related services in Quesnel, BC The maximum annual budget will correspond to the market rate in the community for the provision of housing and housing-related services. The desired start date for occupancy is 2023, though a later start date may be negotiated. The initial term of the Residential Tenancy Agreement will be for six months, with the option to renew for an indefinite period. Housing Unit Requirements o 2 bedrooms o 1 bathroom The successful Proponent will provide housing and housing related services including: o household furnishings & general household provisions defined by Northern Health o seasonal grounds-keeping as appropriate o general cleaning of common areas and bedrooms between users o wireless internet o keypad entry to front door o parking o laundry and other major appliances Preference will be given to bids that: o includes all utilities o have a dishwasher o have a 1:1 bed to bath ratio Only housing with a bedroom to bathroom ratio of no more than 2:1 will be considered. Housing located proximate to Dunrovin and GR Baker Hospital is desirable; walkability will be a consideration when selecting a Proponent. When responding, all potential vendors must declare if they DO or DO NOT have a Conflict of Interest with Northern Health as it relates to their submission.
