Site work and renovation of a transportation facility in Washington, District of Columbia. Working plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility; and for site work for a transportation facility.
As of January 5,2024, project is cancelled. Amtrak is accepting Letters of Interest for repairs to a wall at Washington Union Station in Washington DC. The stone portion of the retaining wall is historic and will undergo minor repairs; the concrete portion at the North end will require extensive structural/concrete improvements, including a new concrete cap; and the steel section at H Street will undergo various steel repairs. The retaining wall concrete work is extensive and requires shoring of adjacent tracks (20 & 22). There are numerous utilities mounted to the face of this wall that are abandoned and or defective. The abandoned utilities are to be removed and damaged conduit tor replaced. The historic railing mounted to the top of the wall will be replaced with a railing that complies with current safety standards. Important Dates LOI Closes - 12/1/23 RFP Issued - 12/5/23
