Renovation of an educational facility in Madison, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

As part of the Madison Public School redistricting plan, Brown Intermediate School will be converted into an elementary school. In preparation of lower grade levels, alterations to various areas of the building are planned to be renovated; specifically, classroom millwork replacement, media center renovations, central corridor atrium improvements, gymnasium entrance upgrades, and cafeteria window assembly replacement. Project Location: 980 Durham Road. Madison, Connecticut 06443 Schedule and Coordination All onsite work including full demolition, installation and punch list activity is to take place starting June 15, 2024 at the beginning of the Summer 2024 School break period. All construction activities are to be completed by August 17, 2023 to minimize disruption to students. Contract Award January 12, 2024 Commencement of Pre-Construction Activities (Submittals, Material Procurement, Etc.) January 15, 2024 Commencement of Construction June 15, 2024 Substantial Completion August 17, 2024 The Town of Madison reserves the right to waive any informalities, irregularities or defects in bids, to reject any and all bids and to accept a bid that, in its' sole discretion, is in the best interest of the Town Bid Security Bids must be accompanied by a certified check or Bid Bond in the amount of five percent (5%) of the Bid, satisfactory to and payable to the order of the Town of Madison. The term "bid security" as used herein, shall mean the certified check or Bid Bond All questions about the meaning of the intent of the Contract Documents shall be submitted to the Tecton Architects in writing or via email to Justin Hopkins at justinh@tectonpc.com and Kathryn Mease at kathrynm@tectonpc.com Performance and Payment (Labor and Material) Bonds The Contractor shall furnish Performance and Payment (Labor and Material) Bonds, each in an amount equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price, as security for the faithful performance and payment of all the Contractor's obligations under the Contract Documents.
