Replace Swamp Coolers With Hvac Units at Hook Junior and Victor High Question Deadline: 12/08/2023 at 2:00 PM PT Each Bid Shall Be Accompanied by a Bid Bond, in the Amount of Ten Percent (10%) of the Bid Amount, Designation of Subcontractors, Non Collusion Declaration, Contractor's Certificate Regarding Workers' Compensation, Certification Page and Certificate Regarding Drug-free Workplace as Required by the Information for Bidders. A Payment Bond and Performance Bond Will Be Required of All Contractors Prior to the Execution of the Contract for All Trades. The Payment Bond and Performance Bond Shall Be in the Form and Amount Set Forth in The Contract Documents. Prequalification Package: Monday, December 8, 2023@ 2pm. Bidders Are Advised That This Contract is a Public Work for Purposes of the California Labor Code, Which Requires Payment of Prevailing Wages. Each Bidder Shall Possess at the Time of Bid a Current Contractor's License, Pursuant to Public Contract Code Section 3300 and Business and Professions Code Section 7028-15, for the Applicable Work Proposed to Be Furnished. The Successful Bidder Must Maintain the License Throughout the Duration of This Contract. Bidders Responding Must Possess a California General Building Contractor's a or B License. No Bidder May Withdraw His Bid for a Period of 90 Days After the Date Set for the Opening Thereof. The District Reserves the Right to Reject Any and All Bids and to Waive Irregularities in Any Bid. The following is a scope of work for the removal and replacement of existing HVAC units and swamp coolers and roof maintenance coat at Victor Valley High School A#04-122074 & Hook Junior High School A#04-122074. This is an all-inclusive job and bidders cannot bid on individual sections of the job. The following is a description of work to be completed Victor Valley High School and Hook Junior High 1. Contractor shall remove existing HVAC and swamp cooler systems per DSA approved drawings. 2. Contractor shall provide and install all new HVAC systems per DSA approved drawings. 3. Contract shall repair/ replace the roofing at Victor Valley High School kitchen aviation, construction, lower auto, upper auto and Hook Junior High Kitchen. 4. Contractor shall provide materials and labor to install a maintenance coat on all buildings identified in DSA drawings. 5. Contractor shall connect new HVAC units into the existing fire alarm system per DSA drawings. 6. Contractor shall remove exiting heaters in gymnasium and return to the District Maintenance Shop. 7. Contractor shall remove all abandon steam piping in the gymnasium. 8. Contractor shall remove all ductwork not being utilized in the gymnasium. 9. Contractor shall include a $150,000.00 allowance in contract price. 10. Contractor shall have 120 calendar days to complete project from start date noted on the Notice to Proceed. Liquidated damages of $500.00 per calendar day may be invoked if project is not completed during this time frame. 11. Contractor shall include a copy of the signed scope of work with their bid. 12. Contractor will ensure all work is done in accordance to DSA approved drawing and all federal, state, county and local laws and codes. 13. Contractor will work with school site on scheduling. If a conflict arises in scheduling, the school needs will supersede contractors. 14. Contractor will provide a pre-qualification packet at least 10 days before bid opening. 15. Contractor shall meet all conditions of the DSA drawings, scope of work and all other contract documentation provided to the contractor. 16. Contractor shall provide a 2-year warranty on labor and the factory warranty on parts. 17. Contractor shall leave site in same condition as before work started.
