The general Scope of Work shall include all work related to locksmith services for various exterior doors, interior doors and related work on as needed bases at various Baltimore City Public Schools (City Schools) Locations. The Contractor will provide labor, materials, and equipment, and supervision to furnish locksmith services and locksmith materials as needed, included, but not limited to: Replacement or re-keying of various existing lock hardware to include, but not limited to, the following manufacturers: Sargent, Schlage, Yale, Corbin, Russwin, Von Duprin, or SDC. Lock types shall include, but not limited to: Cylindrical, Mortise, Rim or Vertical Rod. Schools may contain multiple manufacturers of locks or lock sets .Cylinder replacements Replacement of door locks and related hardware Repair of door locks and exit devices. Repair and/or replacement of electrified hardware Repair and/or replacement of automatic handicap accessible hardware, Provide duplicate key copies and provide new keys based on bitting schedule (for restricted and non-restricted systems) Providing supply of restricted key blanks and cores (City Schools will provide necessary authorization paperwork) Removing and re-installing locks in desks, cabinets, etc. Changing safe combinations Miscellaneous Locksmith Services not identified above. Although City Schools intends to procure all related projects under this contract, it reserves the right to utilize any individual, company, City Schools personnel, or the DPW's personnel for any portion of similar work. The anticipated term of the Contract that City Schools intends to award pursuant to this IFB shall be for three (3) years] from the date of Board approval with one (1), two (2) year renewal option at the sole discretion of City Schools, subject to the termination provisions set forth in the attached City Schools General Articles (Appendix B). In the event that the Entity fails to provide pump, electric motor, and related equipment repair, testing, maintenance, and inspection services, City Schools may assess liquidated damages in the amount of $250.00 per day. City Schools reserves the right to exercise its statutory option to reject any or all Bids and re-advertise for other Bids. City Schools reserves the right to order the said equipment, materials, supplies or services as described within the specifications, and the Board also reserves the right not to order any items(s) within the specification.
