Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Vanderhoof, British Columbia. Design plans call for the construction of a 20,574-square-foot medical facility.
Northern Health Authority is planning for the future of primary and community health care in Vanderhoof, BC. The project has been prompted by deficiencies in infrastructure both for Northern Healths Community Health Services team at 3299 Hospital Road known as the NHA Community Services Building and for the municipality's only primary care practice, Omineca Health Clinic at 3348 Hospital Road. New facility (Building footprint: 1905 sm; outdoor parking, 3720 sm and outdoor wellness space 45 sm) on the NHA property boundary within the given context of all healthcare services being provided in the community and also identifying synergies with the healthcare facilities in the vicinity within the NHA property boundary. TIMELINE: Request for proposal for a design consultant services is closed; preferred proponent is selected The intent of this RFP is to solicit Prime Design consultant services proposals for the following: 1. Pre-Design Services: Provide feasibility studies and present viable options (two or more proposals) for optimum location for siting the new facility. 2. Design Services: Design consultancy services to design the new integrated primary care and community health services building including outdoor parking and wellness spaces. Further update in summer 2025, upon approvals.
