A portion of the work is to be completed using the MassDEP allowed, proprietary process of Pipe Scribing. Pipe Scribing is a trenchless construction technique that involves cutting the existing liner, breaking and displacing the existing sewer pipe while encapsulating its contents in grout underground, and advancing/pulling a new pipe in its place between excavated working pits.
