Renovation of a water / sewer project in Wareham, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the renovation of a water / sewer project.
Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. Project involves upgrades to existing 1.56 mgd Water Pollution Control Facility first put in service in 1972 and then upgraded in 1979, 1989, and 2005. Improvements include: - Civil/Site work for stormwater improvements, yard piping modifications, ductbank installation and reconstructed roadways; - Miscellaneous concrete spall and crack repair; - Provision of temporary facilities/measures to maintain Plant operations so discharge permit can be met throughout construction; - Construction of new Dewatering Building Odor Control system; - Demolition of existing Dewatering Biofilter System and associated piping; - Construction of two new Final Clarifiers; - Construction of new Clarifier Sludge Pumping Station and Scum Pump Station No. 1; - Modifications to piping in Operations Building basement; - Renovations to the Headworks Building requiring Demolition of the existing Slide Gates, Influent Screen, Grit System and Classifier, Septage Receiving System, HVAC and select architectural finishes and furnishing and installation of new equipment/appurtenances and architectural finishes; - Construction of Alkalinity Building with Fire Protection; - Demolition of existing Soda Ash Silo; - Construction of new Vehicle Storage Building; - Electrical and Instrumentation modifications in support of facility upgrades; and - Provision of HVAC and Plumbing for new buildings.
