City's estimated total cost is $400,000 No Pre-Bid Meeting Scheduled The Project is located in Central Park at the Aqua Adventure Water Park, and is described as follows: The general description of the base bid work consists of refurbishment of (4) slides at Aqua Adventure Water Park. The scope of work for the interior slide includes pressure washing and degreasing all open surfaces, mechanically sanding the surfaces, repairing minor cracks and chips, preparing the path for gel coat, applying gel coat, and caulking and sealing all seams and joints. The scope of work for the exterior slide includes pressure washing and degreasing all surfaces, sanding off loose panting or coating, replacing any missing or corroded hardware, applying primer to bare areas, applying a finish coat and other such items or details that are required by the plans, standard specifications and special provisions. The general description of bid alternates #1 and #2 consist of pressure washing, cleaning rusted areas, and applying primer and a finish coat to the under-side platform of Water Slide Structure Tower and to the "Bucket Bay" Slide Structure. Time for Completion. The planned timeframe for commencement and completion of construction of the Project is: 30 (thirty) working days. This estimate serves only as a guideline to bidders of the scope of the Work and the Project. No bidder, including the successful bidder, is entitled to make any claim against City based on inaccuracy of the estimated cost or range of cost of the Work or the Project. License. This Project requires a valid California contractor's license for the following classification(s): Class B or C33. Contractors bidding as a joint venture must secure a joint venture license prior to award of the Contract for the Project. The successful bidder will be required to provide performance and payment bonds, each for 100% of the Contract Price. The Bid Proposal must be accompanied by bid security of ten percent of the maximum bid amount, in the form of a cashier's or certified check made payable to City, or a bid bond executed by a surety licensed to do business in the State of California on the Bid Bond form included with the Contract Documents. The bid security must guarantee that, upon award of the bid, the successful bidder will execute the Contract and submit the payment and performance bonds, the insurance certificates, and the other documentation required by the Contract Documents, within ten days after City's issuance of the Notice of Award.
