The work to be done in general consists of mobilization, traffic control, water pollution control, demolition, potholing of existing utilities, fiber optic conduit and cable installation, and all other work as shown on the Plans and as specified in these Special Provisions. There will be no pre-bid conference for this project; however, bidders are highly encouraged to visit the site. The estimated construction cost for the Total Bid is $1,800,000. The Contractor shall possess a valid Class "A": General Engineering Contractor License at the time the bids are opened. Further, only a contractor registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) to bid on public works contracts in California shall be permitted to submit a bid. Furthermore, only subcontractors registered with the DIR to bid on public works contracts in California shall be permitted to perform work or labor or render service under subcontract to the subject contractor. Bids shall be in a sealed envelope entitled "Treat Blvd Fiber (Phase 2) Project - City Project No. 2656". Bids shall be dropped off inside Wing A.
