Estimated Bid Value $1,260,000.00 To be eligible for award of this contract, Prime contractor must possess the following licensing classification: A or C-8 or C-12 Work will involve furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, services and construction, including demolishing, hauling and disposal of the existing asphalt and concrete, removal and replacement of damaged sidewalk including root removal where applicable, curb and gutter, PCC Residential Driveways, cross gutter removal and replacement, installation of curb ramps to meet ADA standards, installation and replacement of curb outlet - type A, excavation of unsuitable base materials and asphalt pavement, tree trimming, tree root pruning, sidewalk bridging, stump removal, installment of root barriers, tree removal and replacement, storm drain inlet protection, traffic control drawings and permits. The City reserves the right to cancel the Notice Inviting Bids at any time, and further reserves the right to reject submitted Bids, without giving any reason for such action, at its sole discretion and without liability. Costs incurred by the Bidder(s) as a result of preparing Bids under the Notice Inviting Bids shall be the sole responsibility of each bidder. The Notice Inviting Bids creates or imposes no obligation upon the City to enter a contract. Contractors submitting a Bid must be pre-qualified for the total amount proposed, including all alternate items, prior to the date of submittal. Bids from contractors who have not been pre-qualified as applicable and Bids that exceed the maximum dollar amount at which contractors are pre-qualified may be deemed non-responsive and ineligible for award. The completed application must be submitted online no later than 2 weeks prior to the bid opening. The City has incorporated mandatory SLBE-ELBE subcontractor participation percentages to enhance competition and maximize subcontracting opportunities. For the purpose of achieving the mandatory subcontractor participation percentages, a recommended breakdown of the SLBE and ELBE subcontractor participation percentages based upon certified SLBE and ELBE firms has also been provided to achieve the mandatory subcontractor participation percentages: 1.
