The Project will consist of demolishing the structures located at the following locations: 109 W. 17th Street, Genoa, Ohio 43430 300 W. 10th Street Genoa, Ohio 43430 4443 State Route #53, Port Clinton, Ohio 43452 according to the specifications provided in the bid packet The bid guaranty may be of two forms: 1. A Bid Guaranty and Contract bond using the form in the Bid Documents. (The amount of the bid does NOT have to appear on this form.) 2. A certified check, cashier's check, or letter of credit in favor of the Ottawa County Land Bank, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the bid. If the contract is awarded, a Contract bond will be required, which is a hundred percent (100%) payment and performance bond. The successful bidder shall provide a Certificate of Insurance showing insurance coverage for General Liability, Auto Liability and Workers Compensation to the Ottawa County Land Bank. The limits of coverage must exceed the total of the contract. Bidders shall also submit with their bids the affidavit required under the Ohio revised Code, Section 5719.042 that the bidder was not charged with any delinquent personal property taxes in Ottawa County, Ohio and must be a licensed contractor with the Ottawa County Building Inspection Department. Attention of bidders is called to the following requirements contained in the bid packet, particularly to the Ohio prevailing wage rate, various insurance requirements and the requirement for payment bond and performance. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any irregularity in any bid and to determine the lowest/best bidder. No bidder may withdraw his bid for a period of thirty (30) days after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids The scope of work for this project consists of the demolition of three properties located in Ottawa County Ohio at the following addresses, site photos are attached with these specs: 109 W. 17th Street, Genoa, Ohio 43430 300 W. 10th Street Genoa, Ohio 43430 4443 State Route #53, Port Clinton, Ohio 43452 The demolitions shall include all labor, tools, equipment and incidentals necessary for the removal and satisfactory disposal of all buildings, fences, structures and other obstructions which are not designed or permitted to remain. This work shall include backfilling the resulting trenches, holes and pits, any necessary traffic control and security of the property. Remove fuel oil tank, propane tank, gas, diesel, or other fuel tanks and dispose of in accordance with applicable laws. Locate and cap sanitary sewer, water, gas, electric per specifications. Demolish structures and remove all rubble/debris from site. Removal of paved parking surfaces and concrete/stone driveways Remove all foundations including basements to create a "clean lot". Backfill area with suitable fill and grade. Remove all trash, rubbish debris to include bushes, trees, fences, vehicles, and accessory structures as required. Plant grass seed, fertilize, and mulch. DISCONNECTION OF ALL UTILITIES SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE SUCCESSFUL BIDDER. If present septic tank and well must be properly abandoned per Ottawa County Health Department. GENERAL SPECIFICATIONS: All material and construction shall be in accordance with the Ottawa County Building Department Codes, and the State of Ohio, Department of Transportation 2002 Construction and Material Specifications.
