Renovation of a municipal facility in Aberdeen, South Dakota. Working plans call for the renovation of a municipal facility.

Job must be completed by July 31, 2024. Replacing or retrofitting a metal roof on the Holum Expo Building at the Brown County Fairgrounds, 400 24th Ave NW, Aberdeen, South Dakota. Roof dimensions are roughly 210' X 240/ but should be verified by the bidder. Metal roof color shall be selected by the Brown County Fairground Manager Rachel Kippley. SSR Roof Panels: Minimum 24 gage x 2'-0" nominal width, factory roll formed, steel (42,000 PSI min. yield) sheet. Panel lengths shall be maximum possible to minimize end laps. 1. Roof Panel Finish: Provide manufacturer's standard coil applied full strength 70% fluoropolymer (Kynar 500(R)/Hylar 5000(R)) finish to roof panels. 2. Gloss finish shall be maintained evenly over entire surface in accordance with ASTM D-523. . Roof Panel Side Laps: Panels shall be designed to provide (Pittsburgh) double lock seam side lap when installed. Factory applied sealant shall be provided in the female portion of the seam. 4. Roof Panel End Laps: Panel end laps, when required, shall be at least 4", sealed with high quality butyl rubber sealant and fastened together with 12-14 x 1 %" S.S. capped self-drilling fasteners thru a 0.068" galvanized back up plate. Butyl rubber sealant shall contain hard nylon spacer beads to ensure the required amount of sealant is retained in the panel end lap joint. End laps shall occur above, but not fastened to, a supporting secondary structural member. End laps of adjacent roof panels shall be staggered to avoid a four-panel joint and to ensure a continuous panel side lap through every panel splice joint. PROPOSAL GUARANTY: No proposal will be considered unless accompanied by a certified check, a cashiers check or bank draft, for 5% of the amount of the bid, such check to be issued by either a state or a national bank and payable to Brown County, or in lieu thereof a bid bond for 10% of the amount of the bid, such bond to be issued by a surety company authorized to do business in South Dakota and payable to Brown County. PERFORMANCE BOND: Brown County will give notice to the successful bidder that the proposal has been accepted and said bidder shall within ten (10) days thereafter enter into a contract with Brown County and furnish a performance bond in an amount equal to the contract price. The Brown County Board of Commissioners reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids that they deem to be in the best interest of Brown County, and to waive any informalities or irregularities therein. Brown County is exempt from all Federal Excise and State Sales Tax. Per owner all bids were rejected, and this project will re-bid at a future time and date TBD.
