This Invitation to Tender (the RFT) is an invitation by the Regional Municipality of Niagara (Niagara Region) to prospective bidders to submit bids for Replacement of Potable Water Tanks at Regional Public Works Service Center, as further described in Section A of the RFT Particulars (Appendix B) (the Deliverables). The Niagara Region is seeking the services of a qualified Civil contractor to act as General Contractor to install a new 4200 gallon potable water cistern underground at our Public Works Service Center located at 3547 Thorold Townline road in Thorold. Details can be found in APPENDIX - B RFT Particulars and also in Appendix D - Drawings and Specifications. The work will include excavation to accommodate the new cistern and also the removal of the old underground cistern that is not currently in use. Please be aware that the soil on this site is to be considered contaminated and disposal of such soil, as required, shall be included in the proponents base bid pricing. The successful proponent will be responsible for hiring all subcontractors as required to complete the entire scope described in the drawings and specifications including the replacement of the existing pumps with new and also the removal of the existing indoor temporary water cisterns. This RFT is being issued to a subset of the Successful Roster Listing developed from Contract 2022-RFPQ-107 specifically contractors from Category 5.
