Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Neptune City, New Jersey. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; for paving for a road / highway; sidewalk / parking lot; and sidewalk / parking lot.
**As of January 3, 2024, Project has been awarded. Award amount is $397,790.10** The project generally consists of the resurfacing of Neptune Boulevard between the traffic circle at Bingham Street and Monroe Avenue and the NJDOT state right of way at NJSH Route 66. The improvements include milling and the overlaying of the roadway with hot mix asphalt 9.5M64 surface course, excavation and hot mix asphalt base repair where necessary, removal and replacement of deteriorated curb where directed, installation of ADA curb ramps and detectable warning surfaces, traffic striping, and the reconstruction of inlets and the installation of bicycle safe grates and Type 'N' ECO inlet castings as required by the Tier "A" Municipal Stormwater Regulations, and stormwater management improvements as required. Approximate construction quantities are as follows: approximately 16,500 SY of mill and overlay with 2,100 tons of HMA surface course, 750 LF of concrete curb, 250 SY of concrete sidewalks, and 13 SY detectable warning surfaces. The Contractor will be required to deliver the product defined under the contract within 90 calendar days forward from the date of the "Notice to Proceed". Bids must be made on the standard proposal form in a manner designated therein and required by the specifications. They shall be enclosed in an opaque sealed envelope addressed to the Mayor and Committee of the Township of Neptune, ATTN: Engineering Department, bearing on the outside the name of the bidder, his address and the name of the contract for which the bid is submitted. Bids must be accompanied by a certificate from a surety company stating that it will provide the specified performance and maintenance bonds in the event that the contract is awarded to the bidder. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond for ten (10) percent of the amount of the bid, drawn on an incorporated bank or trust company, payable to the Township of Neptune, as guarantee that in case the contract is awarded to the bidder, he will, within ten (10) days thereafter execute such contract and furnish satisfactory performance bond. Upon failure to do so, he shall forfeit the deposit as a partial satisfaction of liquidated damages and the acceptance of the bid will be contingent upon fulfillment of this requirement by the bidder. The checks of all bidders will be returned according to law. No interest shall be allowed upon any such check. Bidders are required to comply with all applicable Laws and Regulations including P.L. 1975, C.127 (Affirmative Action) P.L. 1999, C.238 (Public Works Contractor Registration) and P.L. 1963, C. 150 (Prevailing Wages). Bidders are required to comply with requirements of NJSA 10:5-31., NJAC17:27(Affirmative Action), and Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (42 USC 12101, et seq.). The Contract shall be awarded, or all bids rejected, within sixty days from the receipt of bids within such extensions of time as permitted by law. The Mayor and Committee reserve the right to reject any and all bids, or to waive any informality of any bid. *The list of planholders and/or interested bidders is not being tracked by the stakeholders involved with this project.
