Site work and new construction of a power facility in Kennedy, Saskatchewan. Completed plans call for the construction of a power facility; and for site work for a power facility.
SaskPower is seeking new construction of approximately 8.9km of 230kV transmission line between the new Bekevar Substation termination structure and structure KE1 #7 near the Kennedy switching station. The new line will consist of Thirty-two (32) direct embed 230kV single circuit self-weathering H-frame structures, modification of one (1) existing structure (Str KE1 #7) and stringing of single 795MCM Drake ACSR conductor with 2 x 5/16" steel shield wires from Str KE1 #7 and the Bekevar Substation termination structure. Refer to Table 1 - Structure Types for the exact structure types and number of structures. For the line route, structure locations, structure Drawings, conductor types, shield wire requirements and other design materials please refer to the attached design Drawings. Structure types and structure locations may be adjusted/changed based on final design. The Project coordinate system shall be UTM, zone 13 extended. The Contractor is responsible for providing a detailed construction plan to ensure achievement of the Construction Completion date.
