Furnishing all labor, materials, and equipment and doing the work of constructing, according to Plans, Specifications and Contract Documents on file in the office of the Owner, the improvements hereinafter described. All questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents are to be submitted to Engineer in writing. Interpretations or clarifications considered necessary byEngineer in response to such questions will be issued by Addenda mailed or delivered to all parties recorded by Engineer as having received the Bidding Documents. Questions received less than ten days prior to the date for opening of Bids may not be answered. Only questions answered by Addenda will be binding. Oral and other interpretations or clarifications will be without legal effect. The work of the Town of Vincent Waterworks Board will be let under one Contract. The principal items of work are detailed herein below. Principal Work: 1. Ground Storage tank 100,000gallon capacity, clean and coat Interior and Exterior and make repairs LIQUIDATED DAMAGES WILL BE ASSESSED IFTHE CONTRACT TIME IS EXCEEDED The Contractor may apply for an extension of time in accordance with the provisions of the contract; however, such an extension must be approved prior to the contract completion date to avoid the imposition of liquidated damages The Contractor is hereby advised that TIME IS OF THE ESSENCE on this project and that the contract time of 150 consecutive calendar days and note restrictions shall be strictly observed A. This specification covers repair, preparation of surfaces, performance and completion of painting of all interior and exterior surfaces specified on the following structures: 1. Bell Elevated Storage Tank 250,000 Gallon Capacity. 2. Industrial Tank - 281,000 Gallon Capacity 3. Welborn Tank - 250,000 Gallon Capacity B. The CONTRACTOR shall be responsible for all costs associated with painting and repair operations as outlined in these specifications. C. Contractor shall maintain system pressure while tank is being coated. 1.2 WORK INCLUDED A. Preparation of surfaces which are to receive finishes B. Disposal of blasting debris C. Tank repairs and modifications D. Finish surfaces E. Testing and cleaning 1.1 RELATED WORK AND APPLICABLE REQUIREMENTS SPECIFIED ELSEWHERE Bidding Requirements, Contract Form and Conditions of the Contract and General Requirements shall apply to all work included in this section.
