The Sandy Bottom Park is heavily used by residents and visitors. The park wooden bridges are in need of replacement, and the Town seeks to obtain bids to purchase two pedestrian bridges. The Town of Richmond reserves the right to reject any and all proposals submitted in response to this RFP in whole or in part, to waive any and all informalities, and to disregard all non-conforming, non responsive, or conditional proposals. The Town of Richmond is requesting proposals to purchase two pedestrian bridges spanning Honeoye Creek. Information that is being requested for both bridges, and that outlines design criteria, can be found below: o Length of Bridges: 30 LF & 40 LF out-to-out o Width of Bridge Clearance Between Railings: 4 feet o Preferred Material: FRP o Color: Olive Green or similar o Decking: Pressure treated pine o Design Criteria: Risk Category = I, Pedestrian live load (per AASHTO LRFD Guide Specifications for the Design of Pedestrian Bridges) = 90 PSF, Ground Snow Load (per 2020 NYS Building Code) = 40 PSF, Wind Load = 105 mph, Exposure C (per 2020 NYS Building Code), Vehicle Live Load = None (per AASHTO LRFD Guide Specifications for the Design of Pedestrian Bridges) o Railing: 42" height, max 6" opening for mid-rails with rub rail and toe board o Shipping Condition: Unassembled to be assembled on by Others o Additional items to include in updated quote: Standard submittal deliverables (bridge CAD drawings, PE stamped design / calculations, lift plan), shipping cost, lead time, warranty Question Deadline 11/27/2023 Response to Questions 11/29/2023
