The project shall consist of providing all materials, equipment and labor necessary to install the work as defined as follows: 2442LF of Storm Sewer (size 12-inch - 24-inch, 33 Each Storm Intakes, 6203 SY of Full Depth Reclamation, 4805SY of 6-inch HMA Pavement (Standard Traffic), 3533LF of 36-inch Curb & Gutter Section, 1794SY of 9-inch PCC Pavement, 680SY of 6-inch PCC Pavement, 2022SY of Sidewalks, 489SY of 6-inch PCC Driveway, 1148LF (329LF Trenchless) of 6-Inch DR-18 PVC Watermain, 12 Each Street Lights, Traffic Control, Mobilization and other associated appurtenances and miscellaneous work items. Bid security in the form of a cashiers check or certified check drawn on a state-chartered or federally chartered bank, or a certified share draft drawn on a state-chartered or federally chartered credit union, or a bidders bond with corporate surety satisfactory to the City, in the amount of 10% of the bid. Work shall commence within ten (10) calendar days after receipt of the written Notice to Proceed. All work shall be completed by September 1, 2025 subject to any time extension that may be granted by the Council. One hundred percent (100%) of the bid, with a maintenance period of three (3) years from the time of final project acceptance by the Owner. PREFERENCE By virtue of statutory authority, a preference will be given to products and provisions grown and coal produced within the state of Iowa. Monthly estimates equivalent to ninety-five percent (95%) of the Contract value of the work completed during the preceding calendar month with 5% retainage. Remaining retainage, if any, will be paid within 30 days after final acceptance by the City.
