Demolition and site work for a residential development in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for the demolition of a residential development; and for site work for a residential development.
As of December 19, 2023, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for award has not yet been established. The contract is for the demolition of three (3) commercial structures in the City of Johnstown. 119 Jackson St. Tax Map No. 73-001.-402.000 524 Horner St. Tax Map No. 77-013.-107.000 530 Horner St. Tax Map No. 77-013.-106.000 A certified check or bank draft, payable to the Johnstown Redevelopment Authority, or bid bond in the amount of 10% of the total bid amount shall be submitted with each bid. Asbestos abatement has been completed on all properties. JRA reserves the right to waive informalities and to reject any or all bids. JRA is an equal opportunity employer. Disadvantaged Business Enterprises are encouraged to submit. A certified check or bank draft, payable to the Johnstown Redevelopment Authority, or bid bond in the amount of 10% of the total bid amount shall be submitted with each bid. Question Deadline 12/06/2023 at 12:00 PM ET Bidder shall submit all questions about the meaning or intent of the Bidding Documents via the Messages/Vendor Discussions feature in Electronically. SCOPE The contractor shall furnish all work, services, materials and related items necessary to complete the work specified and in the area indicated on the attached site plan. The work includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Protecting all adjacent properties and natural features of areas to remain undamaged. 2. Demolishing and removing all posts and settings, buildings, sheds, fences, structures, porches, walls, furnaces and fuel tanks on or underneath the ground. 3. Demolish and remove paved surfaces (except street sidewalks). 4. Disconnecting and sealing utilities. 5. Removing all rubbish, junk and trash from the site. 6. Providing all necessary licenses, permits and pay fees. 7. Preserving all operating utilities serving other properties and related appurtenances on site. 8. Providing adequate protection to persons and property. 9. Providing dust control. 10. Clearing and filling all wells, cisterns and similar underground structures. 11. Breaking up basement floors. 12. Demolishing and removing all above-ground masonry. 13. Backfill basements and other excavations. 14. Leaving site free of all demolition refuse, trash and junk. 15. Restoring to original grades and conditions all properties damages by any activity related to the work and taking adequate precautions to avoid settlements or cave-ins of properties higher than site; or other damage to properties lower than site. 16. After back-filling has been completed and approved by City officials, apply 3" to 4" topsoil. The Johnstown Redevelopment Authority is not requiring any seeding or planting to be done at demolition site. The site does, however, need to be graded and left in a presentable manner.
