School District of San Bernardino County, California, acting by and through its Governing Board, hereinafter referred to as, District, will receive pre-qualification packets for 2024 public works bids. Contractors are required to be pre-qualified for projects in excess of one million ($1,000,000) dollars in estimated value; that are funded or expect to be funded from State Bond Funds. Additionally, subcontractors in the trades of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing, (MEPs) are required to be pre-qualified. Pre-Qualification Packets shall be received in the place identified above, and shall be evaluated and responded to by the Districts Pre-Qualification Committee. As a condition of bidding for projects during the 2024 calendar year, and in accordance with the California Public Contract Code Section 20111.6, all prospective bidders are required to submit to the Snowline Joint Unified School District (District) a completed set of prequalification documents by completing all of the documents of the Pre-Qualification Packet. These documents will be the basis for determining which bidders are qualified to bid projects. Bids will not be accepted if a contractor has not been prequalified. Ratings of individual firms will only be disclosed upon written request by that firm. The District reserves the right to check other available sources to establish pre-qualification. All portions of packet must be filled out in its entirety. All information contained in the prequalification packets is not public record and are not open to public inspection. Bidders are advised that this process applies to public works for purpose of the California Labor Code, which requires payment of prevailing wages. Wage rates can be obtained from the Director of the Department of Industrial Relations As of March 1, 2015, all contractors and subcontractors bidding on a public works project over $25,000 for construction, alteration, demolition, installation, or repair work or to work performed on a public works project of $15,000 or more when the project is for maintenance work must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations pursuant to Labor Code section 1725.5.
