Site work and renovation of a mixed-use development in Buffalo, New York. Conceptual plans call for the renovation of a transportation facility; and for site work for a transportation facility.

As of October 8, 2024, an engineer has selected for the project. A firm timeline for construction has not been established. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority (NFTA) owner and operator of the NFTA-Metro, invites interested Consultants to submit a technical proposal that have the requisite, demonstrable competence and experience in architectural and engineering services for the design, construction monitoring, and design support services during construction for the planned transit hub entitled "MTC - Exterior Enhancements". Qualified firms both singly or in teams must have the requisite, demonstrated competence and experience in and a thorough knowledge of the required architectural and engineering services required for the Project. Qualified firms must demonstrate service competency expertise in concept development, planning, project design, agency coordination, procurement, construction administration, and commissioning. The project work requires full architectural and engineering services including civil site plan development, soils/foundation engineering, utility design and coordination (power, storm sewer, communications, internet), architectural design (structure design, graphics and renderings / Models / Photography), structural design, and electrical (power distribution, communications including video surveillance). The project shall provide for the replacement of the major exterior envelop components (roofing system, skylights, curtain wall system, storefront entrance, and stone panel system). The design shall incorporate a phased approach and include material studies, renderings, considerations for safety and security, unique branding, wayfinding, photovoltaic design, lighting, and visual connection to the transportation corridor extending from the MTC building west along North Division Street to the Church Street Light Rapid Rail Transit (LRRT) station. The Consultant shall perform not less than 50% of the work with its own forces. The time of completion for the project is 270 calendar days after receipt of the Notice to Proceed. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time. Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Set Aside: No Minority Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 0% Women Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 10% Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business Contracting Goal: 6% Disadvantaged Owned Sub-Contracting Goal: 0% Minority and Women Business Enterprises (MWBE) and Service Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses (SDVOB) participation is required. The participation goals for this contract are 0% MBE, 10% WBE and 6% SDVOB. Instructions for submitting proposals are available on the website.
