Refer to RFP for response specifics. Fort Chipewyan is located 300 km North of Fort McMurray, in a remote community with winter road access only. The Fort McMurray Forest Area holds land reservations consisting of; 1 home, bunkhouse, numerous outbuildings, and an initial attack firebase. Due to the remoteness from the Forest Areas main office, the Province would like to engage in a contract for maintaining all facilities and road maintenance. The successful proponent would be required to perform weekly inspections (Every Tuesday) on all facilities and outbuildings, utilizing an established checklist supplied by the Province. Upon completion of the checklist the proponent will summarize findings and send a copy of all documentation to the Fort McMurray Forest Area to authenticate. Snow removal will be on an "as needed" basis with additional deliverables at the discretion of the Province. Services will correspond outside of the Wildfire season (November 1st - March 31st) to mitigate risk/ asset deficiencies prior to each start of the Wildfire Season.
