Renovation of an educational facility in Los Angeles, California. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.

This project is to provide a new heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system in the Main, Assembly, Classroom, and Kindergarten Buildings, and three portable buildings. This Project is located at: Saturn Street Elementary School 5360 Saturn Street Los Angeles, California 90019 Last Day for Request for Clarification Wednesday, January 31, 2024 Total Project Contract duration shall not exceed 674 calendar days. The Contract duration is inclusive but not limited to the LAUSD 2024 Summer Break and 2025 Summer Break. Construction will be active after normal operational school and campus activities. Limited or No construction activities shall occur during Student Testing or other noise sensitive activities or work. Construction Phasing Plan below shows the areas of work for each phase. Mobilization will consist of 30 days and Construction will consist of 644 days. Project Closeout will consist of 30 days. In accordance with the provisions of Public Contract Code section 3300, OWNER has determined that the CONTRACTOR performing this project must hold the following license as the prime contractor: B - General Building Contractor. A prime CONTRACTOR self-performing any of the following specialty trades must also hold the required specialty license. No bid will be accepted from a contractor who has not been licensed in accordance with the Contractor's State License Law, Business and Professional Code Section 7000 et seq. The District's Contract Bond Estimate is $6,094,000.00. All pricing quoted shall be valid for a period not less than sixty (60) days from the price bid due date. The criteria used to evaluate a bidder's financial condition shall include, at a minimum, capacity to obtain all required payment and performance bonds and required insurance. The successful bidder will be required to construct the Project in accordance with the Project construction documents. The Project and delivery of the Project within the Project's construction duration time and construction contract purchase price will be the responsibility of the bidder selected by the District. The criteria used to evaluate a bidder's labor compliance shall include, at a minimum, the bidder's ability to comply with the apprenticeship requirements of the California Apprenticeship Council ("CAC") and the DIR, its past conformance with such requirements, and its past conformance with requirements to pay prevailing wages on public works projects. The District may investigate the qualifications of any individual or firm under consideration, require confirmation of information furnished and require additional evidence of qualifications to perform the services described in this RFQ. The District also reserves certain rights, including, but not limited to, the following: .
