This project includes the installation of approximately 27,700 LF of 6-inch PVC force main from the Darien Center Wastewater Treatment Facility (WWTF) to the Village of Corfu WWTF and site improvements at the Darien Center WWTF and Village of Corfu WWTF. The Darien WWTF will include the installation of a new 10-foot diameter wet well, two submersible sewage pumps, a headworks screen, valve/meter vault, a prefabricated FRP building, a Bioxide storage tank/chemical dosing pump, modifications to existing onsite steel tanks to be utilized as onsite equalization, onsite ductile iron force main piping, fittings and all associated electrical and site work to complete this Contract as designed. The Village of Corfu WWTF will include the installation of a precast concrete equalization tank, onsite ductile iron force main piping, fittings, and all associated electrical and site work to complete this Contract as designed. The bidder shall have at least 3 years' experience in the performance of contracts similar to the work of this contract under its present managment. The bidder shall have completed at least 3 contracts, with at least 2 contracts for municipalities or government agencies, these installations being comparable in size, type, and locality to the work to be formed under this contract. Bidder shall submit qualification statement (EJCDC C-451/Specification 00451) as required by the owner and engineer. The project is required to meet MWBE participation goals (20% participation goals per EFC Funding requirements, and 30% participation goals per NYSDEC requirements). Good faith efforts to promote and assist in the participation of Service Disabled Veteran Owned Businesses (SDVOB) are encouraged. To qualify, contractors must be registered as a certified Minority- and Women-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) withing New York State, or include an MWBE-certified subcontractor to meet participation goals. Contract term: Substantial completion: 180 days, Final payment: 210 days Total MWBE Participation Goals: 30% Only written Requests For Information (RFI) will be accepted. RFI's will be accepted until 12:00 p.m. (Local Time) on November 19, 2024, at the office of the Engineer to the attention of Dave Hardenbrook via email: DHardenbrook@CPLteam.com. If necessary, an Addendum will be issued by 5:00 p.m. (Local Time) on November 19, 2024, from the office of the Engineer. Bid security shall be furnished in accordance with the Instructions to Bidders. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified bank check or bid bond from a domestic carrier licensed to do business in the State of New York in the amount of not less than five (5%) of the amount of the bid submitted. Security for Faithful Performance: The successful bidder will be required to furnish Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds written by firms licensed to do business in New York State, each in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the contract amounts in accordance with the provisions of the Contract Documents.
