A timeline for award has not yet been established.** The work generally consists of header & slot grinding existing pavement, asphalt removal, placement of base pavement, placement of an asphalt level course, placement of ARHM overlay, removal and replacement of asphalt, removal and replacement of PCC curb & gutter, curb ramps, ribbon gutter, drive approaches, installation of detectable warning surface, adjustment of water valve & covers, adjustment of manhole rings & covers, installation of monument wells and other appurtenances necessary to complete the improvements as described in the Plans and Specifications. Bid Valid - 90 calendar days Liquidated Damages - $5,200 per calendar day Estimated Bid Value - $2,050,000 Start/Delivery Date - 10 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed is issued Project Duration - 75 working days Q&A Deadline 12/13/2023 11:00 AM (PST) It is highly recommended that the bidder begins preparing their bid early to allow sufficient time to ask questions if unfamiliar with this e-procurement system. All forms in the bid booklet must be properly completed to be deemed responsive. Bidder may begin bid submission at any time, save information, modify or withdraw bid up to the bid closing deadline. Also, other than questions addressed at the pre-bid meeting, all questions of any type must be submitted in this bid management system by selecting the Q&A tab. Bidder must comply with SB854-Public Works Contractor Registration Program. Upon selection and notification of award, contractor will be required to submit a Payment Bond and a Performance Bond each for 100% of the total bid amount. The bidder is solely responsible for "on time" submission of their electronic bid. The City will only consider bids that have been transmitted successfully and have been issued an e-bid confirmation number with a time stamp from the Bid Management System indicating that bid was submitted successfully. Transmission of bids by any other means will not be accepted. Bidder shall be solely responsible for informing itself with respect to the proper utilization of the bid management system, for ensuring the capability of their computer system to upload the required documents, and for the stability of their internet service. Failure of the bidder to successfully submit an electronic bid shall be at the bidder's sole risk and no relief will be given for late and/or improperly submitted bids. Questions of an operational nature may be directed to the City's Purchasing office at (909) 395-2012. Neither the City nor Online makes any guarantee as to the timely availability of assistance, or assurance that any given problem will be resolved by the bid submission deadline. Cash, cashier's or certified check may be submitted in lieu of a bid bond. A personal or company check will not be accepted. List all subcontractors being paid in excess of 1/2 of 1% of the total bid amount. Absent a named sub for any portion of the work, Bidder agrees he is qualified and will perform that portion of the work. It is the bidder's responsibility to become familiar with the contract documents in their entirety. All forms in the bid booklet must be properly completed to be deemed responsive. The City reserves the right to order more, less, or no items at the "per unit cost" stated in the bid proposal. Award of contract will be made by City Council. This is a State and Federal Prevailing Wage project. Bidders must submit all questions pertaining to this bid through the City's Online Bid Management System, by selecting the "Q&A" tab. Questions sent directly to City Staff will not be addressed and you will be directed to submit your question(s) online. Quantities listed are annual estimates only and not indicative of a guaranteed level of usage. Any items not listed on this bid shall be purchased at equivalent category discount.
