Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a mixed-use development in Hudson, Massachusetts. Completed plans call for the demolition of a municipal facility; for the construction of a 34,500-square-foot municipal facility; for site work for a municipal facility; sidewalk / parking lot; for paving for a sidewalk / parking lot; and water / sewer project.

The Project consists of but not limited to: Demolition of the existing CMU operations building, storage/garage building, material storage structure, and wood shed structure. The Work will also include construction of a new 34,500 SF DPW facility, utility upgrades, and paving. In accordance with Article 8 of the General Conditions, the Work shall start as stated in the Notice to Proceed and shall be completed within 420 consecutive calendar days The site will remain fully operational during the construction. All DPW operations will remain in the existing structures until the new structure is complete and then the existing structures may be demolished and the site work completed. The existing fueling station will remain operational throughout the construction and the controls will be relocated to the new building when complete unless the unit price item to replace the fueling station is awarded. PRE-QUALIFIED TRADES: Masonry, Misc. Metal, Waterproofing, Roofing, Metal Windows, Glass & Glazing, Tile, Acoustical Tile, Painting, Fire Protection, Plumbing, HVAC and Electrical. Pursuant to MGL c. 149, section 44D 3/4, the pre-qualified subcontract bidders shall furnish a performance and payment bond of a surety company qualified to do business under the laws of the Commonwealth and satisfactory to the Awarding Authority, in the full sum of the subcontract price. TRADES Masonry Miscellaneous and Ornamental Metals Waterproofing / Dampproofing / Caulking Roofing and Flashing Metal Windows Glass and Glazing Tile Acoustical Tile Painting Fire Protection Sprinkler Systems Plumbing Heating / Ventilating / Air-Conditioning (HVAC) Electrical Work NOTE: The low bidder will be determined by the amount of the Base Bid plus Unit Price #1 and Unit Price #2 in order. All bidding Requests for Information (RFIs) shall be submitted online by 03/14/2024 at 4:00PM EDT for general bids. Bids are subject to M.G.L. c.149 44A-J & to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c.149 26 to 27H inclusive. General bidders must be certified by the Division of Capital Asset Management and Maintenance (DCAMM) in the following category of work, General Building Construction, and must submit a current DCAMM Certificate of Eligibility and signed DCAMM Prime/General Contractor Update Statement. General bids and sub-bids shall be accompanied by a bid deposit that is not less than five (5%) of the greatest possible bid amount (including all alternates), and made payable to the TOWN OF HUDSON DPW. Note: A bid deposit is not required for Projects advertised under $50,000.
