Project was awarded to Dig It Construction for the amount of $$1,804,113.45. Estimated Cost $2,000,000 Contractor Qualification Highway Division Required for DCAMM contracts over $150,000, Highway Division contracts over $50,000. The work consists of providing approximately 4,800 linear feet of 8-inch diameter ductile iron water main and associated valves, fittings, hydrants, services, appurtenances, and surface restoration in Point Road, Wild Harbor Road from Point Road to Loren Road, Little Island Road from Quaker Road to the end, and along Edgewater Drive West from East Falmouth Highway (Route 28) to an existing 6-inch ductile iron capped water main. The work within Route 28 is subject to the requirements of a MassDOT Highway Access Permit. Drainage work to provide deep sump catch basins, leaching basins, and associated HDPE piping shall be included in the Contract if the Owner proceeds with additive alternates based on availability of funds. Each bid must be accompanied by a Certificate of Prequalification issued by MassDOT in the "Sewer and Water" class of work. Each bid shall be accompanied by a bid security in the amount of 5% of the total bid amount. A Performance Bond and Labor and Materials Payment Bond each in the amount of 100% of the contract price will be required. Minimum Wage rates as determined by the Commissioner of Department of Labor and Industries under the provision of the Massachusetts General Labor Laws, Chapter 149, Section 26 to 27H as amended, apply to this project.
