Work includes reconstructing a portion of the parapet wall at the west end of the Freight House where the brick structure ties into the metal rood over the pavilion area. The project is located at the Freight House, 421 West River Drive. Specifically, this project includes reconstructing a portion of the parapet wall at the west end of the Freight House, where the brick structure ties into the metal roof over the pavilion area. This project is the second phase of a two-phase project involving the west parapet wall. The first phase removed the parapet wall along with a portion of the structure wall and made provisions to cover the roof on a temporary basis. This second phase involves removing the temporary roof covering and restoring the west parapet to its final condition. The contract time shall be per SUDAS Section 1080-1.02, A.1, Completion Date Contracts. The contract site is currently available. It is anticipated that the contract will be approved in mid-December, 2023, and the Notice to Proceed will be issued as soon as all contract documents are in order. There are no Working Days for this contract. The Contractor shall complete all work, including final cleanup and removal of all equipment for the bid by March 1, 2024. Liquidated damages shall be $500 per day. DBE stands for disadvantaged business enterprise.
