As of April 7, 2025, a general contractor was awarded. Construction began in June 2024. A timeline for completion has not been determined. *The closed solicitation has been included below for reference: The Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections is looking to add two negative pressure rooms in each of our medical services areas throughout the state. This project currently includes 16 facilities, but we understand that our budget will not allow us to complete all the facilities, so we plan to prioritize the facilities once we figure out the cost per facility. The design will be specific to each facility, and we may need to create multiple bid packages to group facilities by location. The project goal is to minimize the spread of infectious diseases within our facilities and to protect staff and incarcerated offenders. The selected A/E, as a portion of its required Scope of Services and prior to submitting its proposals, will discuss and clarify with the Owner and/or the Contracting Authority, the cost breakdown of the Architect/Engineer Agreement detailed cost components to address the Owner's project requirements. Participate in the Encouraging Diversity, Growth& Equity (EDGE) Program as required by statute and the Agreement. As required by the Agreement, and as properly authorized, provide the following categories of services: Program Verification, Schematic Design, Design Development, Construction Document Preparation, Bid and Award Support, Conformed Documents, Construction Administration, Post-Construction, and Additional Services of all types.
