Renovation of a swimming pool in Columbus, Mississippi. Completed plans call for the renovation of a swimming pool.

TheContractormustprovidealldesign, labor, materials, equipment, andtransportationrequiredto make the following alterations to Building 946 to provide a complete and functional facility: 2.3.1 Demolish and remove the existing PVC pool liner. Remove all underlying adhesive as necessary and repair/prepare the pool basin for the installation of a new membrane liner. Repair/seal any and all penetrations, cracks, etc. in the pool basin in preparation for the new liner. While the basin is exposed, ensure thorough cleaning and the use of fungicide/algaecide spray to prevent issues with the new liner. Inform the government of when this spray will be used and receive approval from CE that the basin has been properly cleaned, repaired, and prepared before installing the new liner. 2.3.2 Furnish and install a new 60 mil PVC pool liner along the entire basin of the pool, including the floors and walls up to the bottom of the stainless-steel gutter system. Install a geotextile slip sheet between the pool basin and the membrane for protection against freeze/thaw cycles, soil, and chemical exposure. The new pool liner and slip sheet must both be fully adhered and heat welded to provide a completely waterproof system over the entire area of the pool surface up to the bottom of the gutter system. Any mechanical fasteners used must be stainless-steel, corrosion resistant, and embedded in a bead of caulk to prevent any sort of leak. All penetrations must be fully sealed to create a completely waterproof system. Ensure all necessary precautions are taken to provide a fully sealed membrane, including providing all new PVC flanges around all penetrations for lights, railings, returns, hooks, ropes, etc. Liner color is expected to be light blue, but the final color will be decided by the CEPM pending physical samples. 2.3.3 Furnish and install all new vinyl markings throughout the pool directly onto the new liner. These include, but are not limited to, lane markings, depth markings, target markings, deep-end pool-clarity markings, stair treads, and any other striping/markings necessary. At a minimum, all existing markings should be replaced in kind, with additional markings being installed as required in this paragraph and to meet applicable codes and standards. Markings should be textured as required. Striping and marking colors are expected to be dark blue, but the final color will be decided by the CEPM pending physical samples. 2.3.4 All ladders, diving boards, slides, rails, etc. are to remain and/or removed and reinstalled by the contractor. All work necessary to meet the intent of this SOW must be done, including whatever is needed for these components. If they must be removed and reinstalled to install the liner, the contractor must provide storage containers and protect and store them before reinstallation after the liner is finished. Any damage to any of these components, the gutter system, the pool deck, or any other equipment, materials, or grounds in the area will be replaced or repaired at the contractor's expense. 2.3.5 Demolish and remove existing underwater lights. Replace all underwater lights with new units in the same locations. Provide new wiring as necessary. Ensure all electrical components are properly grounded IAW NFPA 70. 2.3.6 The new pool liner must come with a 15-year warranty at a minimum. Columbus AFB is requesting removal of existing pool liner, minor repair to install new liner for base pool. Site visit is scheduled for 17 Jan 2023 @ 1000 on Columbus AFB, MS. Please refer to page 16 of 20 for base access requirements. Proposals are due 1 Feb 2024 @1200 CST.
