The objective of this Request for Proposals (RFP) is to solicit interest and credentials from qualified contractors, or individuals, licensed in the State of South Carolina to provide various water and sewer repairs, maintenance, and technical services for York County Water & Sewer. Typical work to be performed includes repair of water service leaks, water main leaks, hydrant repair, valve replacement, water service replacement, meter installation, sewer main repairs sewer lateral repairs, manhole repair or installation, backfill of excavations, and compaction work on an as needed basis. Contractors must possess the proper/licensure and experience to perform such services. The County may have the need for one or more firms to provide various on-call water and sewer repairs, and technical services; including but not limited to the following services: Water service line leak repairs or install Water main repairs or install Sewer lateral repairs or install Sewer main repairs or install Hydrant repairs/installs Valve replacement/install Meter install/replacement Manhole repairs 24/7 emergency on-call Background: York County Water & Sewer owns and maintains a water & sewer distribution system serving 20,000+ customers throughout York County. The system is primarily located in the northeast corner of York County outside the town limits of Fort Mill and west of the Catawba River in the Lake Wylie area. The department performs routine maintenance and repairs of the system, but is seeking qualified contractors to supplement our services to meet the needs of our customers. License Offeror must be licensed to do business in the State of South Carolina. The Offeror must comply with the laws of South Carolina including obtaining proper licensure with this State if required to perform the specifications described in this request. Questions Deadline: No later than January 4, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. York County reserves the right to reject any and all Proposals at any time prior to award; and to waive informalities and minor irregularities, and request additional information or clarifications in the evaluation of responses received The contract term shall be for three (3) years, with two optional annual renewals of one (1) year each.
