To solicit interest and credentials from qualified firms, or individuals, licensed in the State of South Carolina to perform professional engineering services for various solid waste management and environmental monitoring services. Background York County owns and operates the following facilities: A solid waste transfer station used for municipal solid waste processing; a SC Class II construction & demolition landfill; a wood chipping processing operation; a waste tire processing operation; sixteen collection & recycling centers for collection of municipal solid waste and recyclable materials; and a material recovery facility for processing recyclable materials. The County also owns and maintains approximately 110 acres of closed unlined MSW landfill cells which were utilized from the early 1960's through 1997, currently under post closure care. Scope of Work York County is seeking the services of a professional engineering firm experienced and capable of providing complete and comprehensive solid waste management consulting services in accordance with South Carolina's Solid Waste Management Regulations (SCSWMR) and permit requirements. Questions Deadline: No later than March 6, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. General questions about this solicitation should be submitted through online. The County shall award this contract to the highest scoring Offeror who best meets the terms and conditions of the Proposal. The award will be made on basis of evaluation of Proposals, and presentations when applicable. Upon review of Proposals for responsiveness, and satisfaction that the Offeror is responsible, then upon approval of the York County Council, a Purchase Order will be issued to that best suited Offeror Once selected, the successful firm will be required to provide proof of insurance to include workers compensation, employer's liability and general liability prior to commencing work. The method of Contractor Selection has not been Determined at this time.
