York County is seeking sealed proposals from qualified vendors to serve as a Construction Manager At-Risk (CMAR) for preconstruction and construction services. The work will include design review and construction for the expansion and renovation at the York County Moss Justice Center located at 1675-2A York Highway, York, SC. Expansion will include a new booking and intake area with the associated site work. Renovation includes converting the existing booking area into a medical and mental health housing. The Project is from an early stage in project planning and thus has an incomplete scope. The selected Contractor will be expected to work with the Architect and York County to develop a complete and more precise scope. The project will include the following elements: The existing booking area will be demolished and replaced with a new booking area (+/- 18,341 sf). Renovate the existing pre-booking area to medical and mental health housing (+/-6,436 sf); Light renovation of the existing administrative area (+/- 6,700 sf). The existing secure vehicular sally-port will be split and serve as an enclosed sally-port for medical transport vehicles (+/-5,000 sf) as well as an inmate recreation area (+/-3,776 sf) for medical housing. The site area surrounding the original intake will include a new parking configuration for the intended proposed vehicular drive for a new secure booking sally-port.
