Phase 2 - by Invitation Only - Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) Has a Requirement for Fiona Storm Damage Reconstruction and Repairs in Codroy, NL The work consists of the furnishing of all plant, labour, equipment and material for Fiona Storm Damage Reconstruction and Repairs in Codroy, NL, in strict accordance with specifications and accompanying drawings and subject to all terms and conditions of the Contract. In general, work under this contract will consist of, but will not necessarily be limited to, the following: Site 1: Demolition and removal of the existing pile wharf, as noted on the drawings. Contractor to note that any creosote timber encountered will have to be disposed of at a provincially regulated waste disposal facility. Construction of a new treated timber crib wharf, complete with reinforced concrete deck, to the dimensions indicated on the drawings. Also including but not limited to mooring cleats, ladders, structural timbers, jib crane and electrical components, etc., as noted on the drawings. Excavation of harbour bottom prior to installation of new cribs and the supply and installation of rock mattress and scour protection as shown on the drawings. Uplands rock and gravel fill placement, topped with granular’s and asphalt. Site 2: Partial demolition and removal of the existing finger pier wharf, as shown on the drawings. Contractor to note that any creosote timber encountered will have to be disposed of at a provincially regulated waste disposal facility. Encasement of wharf with rock core, filter stone and amour stone. Site 3: Re-shaping the existing breakwater and supply and placement of new amour stone, as indicated on the drawings.
