On-Call Civil & Structural Engineering & Analysis of Large-Diameter Water Transmission Pipeline Support Services Brief Scope of Services: Valley Water is seeking qualified engineering firms to provide On-Call Civil & Structural Engineering & Analysis of Large-Diameter Water Transmission Pipeline Support Services This scope of services is focused on utility maintenance for the Consultant to perform condition inspections and assessments, data collection and investigation, analytical risk and failure assessments, emergency repair support, and integrity and asset management support services. Consultant shall be responsible for, but not limited to, performing on-call civil and structural engineering and analysis of large-diameter water transmission pipeline support services (Project). These services will be requested on an “as-requested” or “as-needed basis” to assist Valley Water in accomplishing its maintenance, repair, rehabilitation, and asset management projects in a timely manner. Valley Water may request services to be performed by the Consultant at any time during the term of this Agreement and by staff at different levels of experience and expertise. The requested tasks may involve engineering condition assessment, failure analysis, repair and rehabilitation construction inspection, and asset management support for large diameter water transmission pipelines of various types including, but not limited to Pre-stressed Concrete Cylinder, Reinforced Concrete Cylinder, Bar-Wrapped, and Welded Steel pipe to help ensure the long-term reliability and useful life of Valley Water’s aging infrastructure. The scope of On-Call services will generally include, but is not limited to the following areas of water transmission pipeline engineering and analysis: 1) Task Order Management and Coordination 2) Project Management and Coordination 3) Condition Assessment 4) Condition Inspection and Investigation 5) Specialized Engineering Design and Construction Support 6) Asset Management 7) Risk and Failure Analysis 8) Emergency Repair Support 9) Additional Services The Scope of Services described in a Task Order may be considered by Valley Water to be “Public Works” requiring the payment of prevailing wages. See the Standard On Call Consultant Agreement, Section Four, Fees and Payments, subsection 3. Prevailing Wages, to ascertain whether any other Task/s would include “Prevailing Wage Requirements Valley Water reserves the right to determine whether an actual conflict exists at its sole discretion and to determine whether a potential conflict of interest exists in its reasonable discretion.
