Mary E. Kies Recreation Center Kitchen Renovation Bids for "All Work/Turn Key" including General, Plumbing, Heating, Ventilating and Electrical Work. The commencement date of this project is approximately March 29, 2024. This project is being financed, in part, with funds from the Illinois Department of Commerce & Economic Opportunity, (DCEO) grant program. Minority business firms are encouraged to submit bids. According to the grant it has been determined 18% of grant dollars going to minority-owned business enterprises (MBE or WMBEs), and 10% of the grant dollars going to women-owned business enterprises (WBE or WMBE) or to persons with disabilities-owned business enterprises (PBE). Successful contract bidders are also encouraged to utilize minority business for supplies, equipment, services and construction. Bids for "All Work/Turn Key" including General, Plumbing, Heating, Ventilating and Electrical Work. Bids will be held good and may not be withdrawn for a period of 60 calendar days from the date of receipt. Project approval is anticipated to occur at the next scheduled Park District meeting following bid opening. Commencement of the work on the project shall be subject to the discretion of Owner. The Owner reserves the right to waive any irregularities and to accept any or reject all bids when, in the opinion of the Owner, such action will serve the best interest of the Owner. Any comments or questions must be submitted to the Architect no later than Thursday, December 14, 2023, by 2:00 p.m. local time. Any clarifications or revisions to the construction documents will be issued by the Architect in the form of an Addendum.
