The City of Council Bluffs, Iowa (City), is requesting bids for janitorial services at the Council Bluffs Police Headquarters facility from qualified and insured companies, herein called Bidder/Supplier/Contractor. All necessary personnel, supervision, materials and equipment to be provided by the Bidder and prices included in the bid should reflect the same. he Facilities Maintenance Superintendent shall administer this contract on behalf of the City. The Police Department will have a Building Representative who will be responsible for ensuring Contractor compliance. Question Deadline: 12/6/2023 05:00 PM (CT) In accordance with City ordinance, each bid in excess of $40,000 must be accompanied by cashier's check or bid bond payable to the City of Council Bluffs, Iowa, for a sum not less than 5% of the total amount of the bid. Copies of bid bonds or cashier's checks are to be uploaded in the assigned requested attachments area. Cashier's check shall clearly state cashier's check on it. Letters of credit and company or personal checks are not acceptable substitutes for a bid bond and would be cause for rejection of bid. **Please double check your math to make sure your 5% bid bond amount is accurate. Inaccurate amounts will be cause for rejection of bid. CONTRACT TERM - The contract term will be for a three (3) year period, upon contract execution or the first day after the end of the current contract. If it is mutually acceptable, this contract may be renewed for up to two (2), one (1) year periods, at the sole option of the City.
